Sulwhasoo’s Camellia Hair Oil A Hair Oil That Offers Natural Remedy for Frizzy and Unhealthy Hair

Sulwhasoo’s Camellia Hair Oil has a long history that dates back to 1932 when Madame Yoon Dok-Jung, the mother of Amorepacific Corporations’s founder Suh Sung-Hwan started her Camellia Hair Oil business in Kaesong, South Korea. The Camellia Hair Oil has since gone through reformulation to keep up with the needs of women today.
Oiling the hair is a tradition long followed by women especially in Korea back in the old days when long straight black shiny hair with clear parting was viewed as beautiful and standards of aesthetics. Apart from maintaining beautiful hair, oiling the hair also makes the hair stronger, softer and shinier. Women today still oil their hair using various types of oil to maintain beautiful healthy hair.
Sulwhasoo’s Camellia Hair Oil is formulated using traditional herbs and natural camellia oil to revive the hair’s natural shine. Sulwhasoo does not just use any camellia fruits available in the market but only fruits from camellia plants that are grown in the Camellia Village of Jeju Island. The camellia fruits are obtained by Amorapacific through the Aritaun Purchase Agreement that ensures safety, environmental preservation, and also as a contribution to the local community of Camellia Village. Only camellia fruits that naturally fall on the ground are gathered and used in producing the Camellia Hair Oil. No plants are damaged during the process of collecting the fruits.

Camellia fruits that are used from this particular village is pollution-free and are free from pesticides and insecticides. In a clinical test that was done on the camellia oil, results show efficacies of the oil in collagen synthesis and cell regeneration as well as wrinkle correction which makes it great for beauty products including hair oil.

Known as olive oil of the East, the camellia oil is rich in vitamin A, B and E. It also contains up to 80% of single unsaturated fatty acid which consists of Oleic Acid and Linoleic Acid. Unlike other oils, camellia oil does not oxidise easily and it also does not dry up easily when exposed to air which makes it ideal for the hair and skin.

Other benefits of the camellia oil include its ability to block UV rays, especially UVB and it is also heat resistant thereby preventing hair damage. It also has an anti-static effect which leaves the hair silky smooth even when combing the hair. Constant application of the Camellia Hair Oil will result in significant improvements in the hair quality which includes clarity, shine and smoothness.

The new improved Camellia Hair Oil does not feel as sticky as it used to and has the camellia floral scent. To preserve the tradition of the Camellia Hair Oil, the container is designed to look like the traditional oil bottle which is shaped to look like a camellia seed. The reddish brown colour container is a reflection of the camellia fruit seed.
