Mary Quant Make-up Workshop

I woke up early last Sunday morning to attend the Mary Quant Make-up workshop at Mandom office in Uptown PJ.
Warm welcome by Mandom Malaysia team.

It was my second time meeting the Japanese MUA - Ms Takaki after the Saturday Baking workshop. She has guided us complete make-up step-by-step on Sunday’s workshop.
First, prep our skin with skincare. Ms Takaki used Mary Quant ‘Special Recipe’ to prep the model’s face.
Then, apply Oil Zap makeup base for a dry, matte finish on t-zone and chin. Then apply Moisture Zap to the rest of your face.

If you are not having oily skin, you could skip Oil Zap and apply Moisture Zap to whole face to prevents dry skin. It has moisturising properties like a beauty serum, and also helps makeup last longer.
Apply Eye Gloss to the delicate and dry-prone eye area. It covers dark circles and dullness, and makes eye colours come out brightly.
Apply Smoo Cake powder foundation to whole face using puff. The makeup foundation keeps the skin clear and beautiful by covering age spots and freckles, even under the strongest sunlight and heat. It comes in 8 shades.
Apply Loose Face Powder for brighter and fine textured. I like this the most because the velvety loose powder makes pores and fine lines less noticeable. Loose Face Powder comes in 3 colors and a limited color.

Now the most fun part – Eye make-up. Ms Takaki showed us how to use 4 colors for eye make-up from Eye Opener collections. For me, I prefer purple colors so I have played around the purple pink Eye Opener.
Another interesting product – Action Lashings was used for the make-up. This lengthening mascara comes in 7 outstanding colors, from ebony black to lac rose, the colors are nice.

It's time for eye brow after the eye make-up is done. We all tried Brow Line, which has Mary Quant’s special colouring formula to ensures the eyebrow pencil adheres to the skin smoothly and gently with a suitable firmness.

Then, define our eye with Out Line. With its superb drawing ease, this eye/lip colour pencil enables greater freedom to play with eye and lip make-up.
For the cheek, we sweep the cheek brush over BLUSH BABY and brush it against the back of our hand or a tissue to remove excess powder.
Last but not least, complete the look with Mary Quant Moisture Rich Lipstick and Colourshine for lips.
Sweet make-up on the pretty model
I like my purplish makeup that day. :)
