Review: Kérastase in-salon Discipline Treatment

I have been keeping my straight long hair for years. However, I find it hard to deal with my frizzy and unmanageable hair every day. My thick hair look so boring and they are heavy and without any movement. When I knew that Kérastase has launched the Discipline range that could tackles my problems, I immediately gave the in-salon treatment a try at Miko Galere, Beauty Hall Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur.
It took L’Oréal Advanced Research 7 years of research to come out the move hair machine hence the Kérastase Discipline range. Hair stylists are using them throughout the salons to tame unruly hair, and for smoothing and strengthening.
Kérastase Discipline treatment consists of steps below;
Step 1: Wash hair with BAIN FLUIDEALISTE shampoo.
Step 2: Apply SOIN 1 and blow hair to 80 to 90 percent dry. Then use ceramide iron to straighten hair and seal the nutrient in.
More about SOIN #1
Reserved only for the in-salon technical protocol, this formula offers the quintessential Discipline technology. Nestled in a silky soft white emulsion, this formula is rich in shape-enhancing, re-pulping active ingredients and an amazing network-forming polymer that envelops the hair fiber with water-resistant protection from roots to ends.

3. Rinse hair and massage SOIN 2 into hair thoroughly. Leave on for 3 minutes and rinse off.

More about SOIN #2
This pure gel emulsion rounds out the action of Soin #1 after heat cauterization. The innovative high-tech texture, which offers both slickness and lubrication, easily envelops damp hair without weighing it down. Containing Morpho-Keratine and Research Ceramide, this formula provides intensive care for the fiber and delicately smoothes the surface of the hair. Just like Soin #1, Soin #2 is also available in-salon only.
4. Blow dry and style accordingly.
The entire Kérastase Discipline treatment took me around 1.5 hours, due to my long and thick hair. It would only take 45 minutes for shorter/thinner hair. I like the lovely scent of the Kérastase Discipline range. My hair feels well-groomed and less frizzy immediately after the Kérastase Discipline treatment. They were really disciplined and healthier now. The result is long lasting, my hair was smooth and soft even after the next few washes.
It is advisable to use Kérastase Discipline homecare range to maintain the result at home. Kérastase Discipline homecare range consists of;
BAIN FLUIDEALISTE (For all hair types, 250ml, RM85)
More than a simple hair cleanser, this shampoo benefits from a major and long sought-after technological advance:
the capacity to gently cleanse while also supplying just the right
amount of uniform, evenly distributed care without weighing down the hair.
BAIN FLUIDEALISTE (Sulfate-Free, 250ml, RM85)
WIth its soft, creamy, pearlescent texture, this sulfate-free shampoo benefits from a formula specially developed for overprocessed hair.

FONDANT FLUIDEALISTE (200ml, RM95)
This creamy fluid emulsion plays its part in the same musical score, entering the performance following the Bain Fluidealiste. This ultra-perfecting formula also plays a range of rich, fluid notes with exceptional savoir-faire. While the indispensable surface-morphing polymer envelops the surface of every fiber with a protective film, lipid softening agents work at the heart of the fiber to provide suppleness and nutrition.
MASKERATINE (200ml, RM136)
This is the depth care product, the product that takes the stage to replace Fondant Fluidealiste at short notice whenever the hair needs it. At the heart of this formula is the surface-morphing polymer combined with a starch base. The two join forces to not only provide a finishing sheath but also to texturize the fiber for remarkably enhanced allure.
With its very high concentration of nourishing lipid agents, this product offers in-depth damage repair. A stronger dose of the softening agent has also been added to bring unprecedented suppleness to the hair.
