Yankee Candle® is in Malaysia

Calling all Candle Lovers, we can now buy Yankee Candle® locally in Malaysia, woo hoo! Yankee Candle® is America's Best Loved Candle since 1969, people used to buy Yankee Candle® from the state and carry the heavy candles back to Malaysia. But it’s no more hassle now because Yankee Candle® is now available at Great Eastern Mall and Sunway Pyramid Shopping Center!

As a scent lover, I have paid a visit to the Yankee Candle® at Sunway Pyramid last week. I could smell the lovely scent from far away before I reached the kiosk. 

During the visit, I found out that Yankee Candle® is using Food grade wax and even Soy wax on some candles. The wicks are 100% cotton and lead free, and it was straighten by hand when setting the wick.

I tried almost all the scents in the store, and picked up 2 large jar candles at last. 

The first scent I picked was pink sands, which is also one of the best sellers in store. According to Yankee Candle® website, Pink Sands - Treat yourself to an exotic island escape with the beautiful mix of bright citrus, sweet florals and spicy vanilla in this scented candle. The perfect scent for escaping the winter blues or setting just the right mood any time of the year. The beautifully blended scents of the islands will captivate you and bring memories of favorite vacations rushing back.

I lit the pink sands in my living room; all my guests like the lovely and subtle scent a lot.

The second scent I picked was Soft Blanket - Wrapped in sweet dreams . . . a lullaby of clean citrus, luxurious vanilla and warm amber.

Soft blanket leaves my bedroom a fresh and clean scent.  The scent is not overpowering and is perfect to burn for a long period of time.

Yankee Candle®  is available in Large jar,medium jar, small tumbler to Samplers® Votive Candles. I picked the large jar because it’s value for money, and I like that I could recycle the glass jar for storage. The large jar is 623 gram for RM 99.90, and it could be burn for up to 85 hours.

You could also find Good Air® series and candle accessories in store too. 

They are having some great promotions that is not to be missed.

I met an American expat during my visit and he bought more than 10 large jar candles on the spot! He was very happy to find out Yankee Candle® is available here, and he doesn’t need to ask his friends to carry the candles for him from the USA anymore. The candles are heavy but fret not, they offers chauffeur service to bring the candles to your car free of charge. ;)

Last but not least, sharing with you some tip I learnt. Candle has memory, to get the maximum burn times from your candles, you need to set the candle memory. To set the candle memory, burn the candle for a few hours to ensure at least a layer is fully melted the first time the candle is lit. This will allow the pool of wax to extend to the outside rim and prevent the candle from forming a crater.
