Review: Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner VS Special Cucumber Lotion from Luxola

I was first introduced to Mario Badescu by Luxola on their MY Bloggers meet up in year 2012, you could read the meet up post at here. Mario Badescu first salon was opened in New York over 40 years ago. Mario Badescu Skin Care is well known for their personalized skin care and acne treatment.

This time, I have given Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner and Special Cucumber Lotion a try. Both of them are famous for deep cleansing. I like that Mario Badescu toner/lotion is packed in plastic flip bottle that prevent pop open when travelling.

Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner 

Help soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles while smoothing the skin with the anti-aging ingredients found in Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid-based toner. Glycolic Acid and the Alpha Hydroxy Acid found naturally in Papaya Extract help accelerate skin cell turnover for younger-looking skin. Aloe Vera is added to soothe your complexion. Alcohol free.  HOW TO USE: Morning and evening after cleansing, apply to face with a cotton ball or pad, wiping in an outward direction. Avoid contact with eyes. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with water.

Even though I have oily combination skin and breakouts often, this toner works for me too.  My acne scarring is fading away and my skin is glowing. It doesn't irritate my skin but be careful to avoid eye area as it once stings my eyes. This toner literally makes my skin glow.

Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion 

BENEFITS:

Refreshing, disinfecting and deep cleaning astringent that is effective in drying up existing acne blemishes while preventing new eruptions. Sulfur and soothing Cucumber based, acne fighting formula that is non-drying and non-irritating. HOW TO USE: Twice daily after cleansing, pat skin dry and apply lotion dampened cotton by wiping in an outward direction until cotton comes up clean. Avoid eye area. Follow with moisturizer or night cream.

My review: Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion is suitable for oily and combination skin. It is gentle on my skin, yet keeps acne from popping up. The lotion is mild and controls my oil throughout the day. My skin feels clean and refreshed after using this lotion.
