Today I’d like to continue my Ramadan Buffet series with
Dorsett Regency hotel Kuala Lumpur. Dorsett Regency hotel KL is located in the heart
of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, at the start of Bintang Walk. It is just a stone’s throw away from the
capital’s finest shopping malls, entertainment centres and sightseeing spots.

We had tried out the nostalgic Ramadhan buffet at
Checkers Café, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur recently. The Ramadan fare was presents of
‘Bintang Lagenda’ with over five rotational menus offering 100 over wide
selections of main dishes and appetizing desserts for the entire Ramadan month,
from 18th June until 16th July
2015. It is indeed one of the buffet with tons of food selections this
Ramadan.
Highlights of the buffet are a special selection of the legendary
Tan Sri P. Ramlee’s favourites such as Whole Roasted Lamb ‘Kuzi’ style, Gulai Kawal Sotong Sumbat, Burung Puyuh
Percik, Ayam Goreng, Serawa Durian Pulut and more.
From the action stalls at the
entrance and live cooking at its show kitchen, a wide variety of delicacies and
main dishes ranging from, Gulai Ikan
Talang Masin, Udang Goreng Sos Keju, Nasi
Kerabu Bunga Talang, Burung Puyuh dan Ayam Percik, Bubur Lambuk and many
more are on offer to entice the taste buds.
Checkers Cafe’s Ramadhan promotion features an extensive
selection of traditional local salads found in various parts of Malaysia such
as kerabu made of young papayas,
mangoes and ferns, ulam-ulam kampung
and rojak.
Desserts come in the form of local Malay and Nyonya cakes
and Malay delicacies such as Serawa Pisang, Chilled
Peach with Sago and Coconut, Malay and
Nyonya kuih, homemade cookies, Bubur Cha
Cha, Bubur Pulut Hitam, fresh fruits and a lot more, not forgetting of
course the customary Buah Kurma (dates).
In addition to all the festive delights above, the
restaurant has its regular individual cooking stations that offer local, Japanese
and western delights.

buffet is available daily from 7:00pm to 10:30pm and is priced at RM105.00
nett per adult at The Checkers
Café, Dorsett Regency KL. Early Bird discount was available at RM70.00
