With the
increasingly hot weather here in Malaysia, we are in need of a foundation with
light texture yet last for whole day. The new Shu Uemura skin:FIT water foundation is the perfect solution for our Summer weather all year.
Give
your skin a break from thick, heavy make-up and feel refreshed with shu
uemura’s solutions for the perfect summer face. In 2015 for the first time, shu
uemura has made the impossible possible, achieving the opposing properties of
sheer and lasting make-up in an all-new oil-free fresh water texture, skin:FIT
cosmetic water foundation gives the look of bare, natural skin, while boasting
a light fit and breathable coverage, and still retaining a gorgeous sheer
finish that maintains freshness throughout the heat of the day and into the
long summer nights with high UV protection.
skin:FIT
cosmetic water foundation is using shu uemura’ s innovative oil free bi-phase
formula that makes the impossible possible for the first time, providing a bare
skin look that lasts for 12H.
This fresh, lightweight formula
created through innovative technology fits lightly and finely on skin and
allows for breathable coverage creating a delicate, sheer and beautiful finish
that all women desire. It uses innovative an oil free bi-phase technology which
has triple powder complex of Perlite, Airlicium, and Soft-focus powder as well
as cosmetic water consists of mint extract and pomegranate extract.
We witnessed a demonstration compares
oil absorption power between Airlicium and anti-shine powder used in many conventional
foundation formulas; also the micro photo of Airlicium to demonstrate the
secret of oil absorption power during the launch.

Shu Uemura skin:FIT Foundation comes with the new specially developed skin:FIT pentagon
brushing sponge which was inspired by a method used for many years in Japan to
apply mizu oshiroi. The unique dual-sided sponge allows for two-step
application in a simple way – “brush and fit”.
Shu
Uemura’s elite artist – Lisa Yap shared with us the key for “natural bare skin”
make-up is giving a “see-trough” effect as if baby skin unleashes inner skin
color of rosy cheeks at the event.
She
also demo us a quick “natural bare skin” make-up with Shu Uemura skin:FIT Foundation. First, apply cc base and concealer
on our face. Secondly, apply the rosy cheek
color of tint in gelato underneath skin:FIT to create a true bare look with
inner rosiness. Then shake
well the foundation before use and take 5 drops of formula onto your palm. Take
foundation with flocky side(pink side) and gently brush on the central part of
cheek. Hold the opposite side(white side) of the brushing to use sponge side. Tap
in circular motion outwards to spread the foundation and fit to the half face. Repeat
this method in different area of the face, working from the left of the face,
to the forehead, and then nose and lips. Finish along the face line. Add in
tint in gelato on top of the finish skin. Lastly, draw eye brows, eye liners,
mascara and lips to finish the look.
I
have tried this at home and I love the refreshed, breathable and thin yet
powerful lasting face make-up. Furthermore, it comes with UV protection which
is necessary in our weather. Its sheer transparent finish made me look natural
for a whole day. I wear it out for a whole day when running errands or outing with
the kids. I was using 754 Medium Beige which looked a bit dark on the swatches but it matches my skin perfectly.
There’s also a convenient
and quick fix tips I wish to share with you. We don’t need to bring along the bottle
of foundation but just the pentagon sponge with us to touch up anytime
anywhere. Just spray depsea water facial mists to wet the sponge and there’d be
sufficient foundation to touch up our face. Isn’t it convenient and easy?
