Guardian Brings Fun and Laughter to Breast Cancer Survivors and Volunteers

In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month & Domestic Violence Awareness Month, my favorite pharmacy, health and beauty retailer Guardian Malaysia treated cancer survivors as well as volunteers for these 2 causes for a night of fun and side-splitting laughter at the highly sought-after Malaysia-Singapore comedy showdown Laugh Die You II which hosted by Gurmit Singh a.k.a. Phua Chu Kang and featured Harith Iskander, Kavin Jay, Jonathan Artherton and Fakkah Fuzz on 1st October 2015.

Of the sponsorship that cost almost RM 20,000 in ticket value, Marketing Director of Guardian Health and Beauty Sdn Bhd, Ms. Christina Low said, “We are honoured to have the opportunity to provide some fun and laughter to those who have been through tough times especially during their cancer treatments. They face so many challenges and we hope this small gesture gives them some relief, as they stay strong and soldier on.”

Held over 2 nights at the HGH Convention Centre in Sentul, 100 people from charity organisations that included Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA), PRIDE Foundation, National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) and All Women’s Action Society (AWAM) were treated to an enjoyable night of fun and continuous laughter.

“It occurred to us that caregivers and volunteers of these non-profit organisations are often overlooked as well, so we wanted this to be a night out for them too,” Christina Low added.
