The Beauty Junkie - ranechin.com: Seeties Promotion - POKC (People of Kheng Chew) at Damansara Uptown

When I received the invitation from Seeties to the food review at POKC (People of Kheng Chew), my first thought was would be served some Cantonese food that day.

It proves me wrong that Kheng Chew is in fact another name for Hainanese. Oh My gosh I didn’t know this even my mom is a Hainanese! OK so it made me feel embarrassed but on the other hand, I was looking forward to taste the Hainanese fusion food because I miss my mom’s cooking.

Opened for nearly a year now, POKC is on a mission to bring a vibrant community of Hainanese heritage to the people around Damansara Uptown. You definitely need to check out some of the meals offered in their menu. Let’s see what have we tired that evening;

Enchanted Lamb Stew (RM24.90)

POKC's hearty slow-cooked signature lamb shank stew is really delicious. Serves with rice, the stew was cooked until soft and match best with rice.

Cordon Bleu Koi (RM 26.90)

The Cordon Bleu is fantastic. Served with crisp sweet potato fries and brown sauce, this is a must have dish when you are here.

Hainan Grilled Koi (RM 22.90)

Hainanese-style grilled chicken topped with cheese, sweet potato fries and mixed vegetables with brown sauce.

Kheng Chew Curry Koi (RM 19.90)

Homemade curry with chicken and potatoes. Served with choice of white bread or rice.

Hainanese Bread (RM 17.90)

Traditional deep fried egg-coated Hanainese bread with mince pork stuffing.

Pork Burger (RM 23.90)

Juicy pork chop, sunny side egg snuggled with savory sauce and serves with sweet potato fries.

Buffolo Shots (RM 21.90 for 6 peices)

Deep fried buffalo chicken wings served on top of special sauce shots.

Tofufah Cheesecake (RM14)

The taufufah cheesecake is a healthy dessert, not too sweet but you could add on the ginger syrup provided.

The cake selection may vary from menu, best to check in store.

POKC serves good tea and coffee. I especially love the POKC Coconut Affogato (RM 15), a single scoop of coconut ice cream topped with double shot espresso. Great fix for my coffee and sweet tooth.

I heard that they will be introducing more tea including fruity and floral ones soon. So tea lover, you know where to go for your tea fix ya. Saved your money from the expensive Singaporean brand like Txx because you could find better and cheaper tea at POKC.
