5 Things To Do in Freeport A’Famosa Outlet @ Malacca

Hello my Malaysian readers, do you know that there’s a new outlet in our country? Its a premium outlet centre which offers a variety of designer brands and fashion items. Opened on end of November 2015, Freeport A’Famosa Outlet is the latest outlet in Malaysia that comprises 81 retails lots, F&B, exhibition and event hall. Melaka has becomes a phenomenal state with cultures, historical places and shopping heaven!

I and other 39 bloggers were honored to be invited to a shopping spree at Freeport A’Famosa Outlet 2 weekends ago. The organizer have invited 4 top fashion bloggers: Xandria Ooi, Bangsarbabe (Su Lin), TheAmbitionista (Heidi Nazarudin) and bwincessnana to share their tips to us on how to become a successful blogger, how to style on budget etc. 

Then we were assigned to 2 groups (Stylish & Casual) for 'Style on a Shoestring' contest, which is to style on the RM 350 budget in 2 hours’ time. Well, it was a fun and excited event and I had enjoyed every moment of it.

My friends and followers have been asking me about my experience in Freeport A’Famosa Outlet after seeing my pictures on my social media hence I have dedicated this post for all of you on the 5 things to do there.

1)      Shopping!

Freeport A’Famosa Outlet has a tag line “Shop, save and discover”. Of course shopping would be our main reason we go there. Here, we could enjoy 30-70% discounts on normal high street price, and up to 80% discounts all year-round. From familiar brands like Levi’s, NIKE, PUMA, Forever 21, Cotton On, Esprit, Sacoor Brothers, Carlo Rino, Triumps to new brands like Vero Moda, Only, Lux love, one would definitely find something for themselves or their loved ones here.

Some tips to you, even though most of the outlet shops accepting credit card, it’s still best to ready some cash because I had encountered credit card machine offline issue in some shops. So, do prepare cash just in case ok.

Oh, and after enjoying shopping, do check out their redemption at the customer service. The last time I went they were giving out free umbrella with purchase of RM 250 and above.

2)      Dining

After busy shopping, its time to fill the hungry stomach. Drop by the cozy Zang Toi café to enjoy their signature tea punch and banana chocolate cake, they are really yummy!

If you are on a low budget, there are also some food trucks available at the entrance near the food court

3)      Enjoy fun-filled activities

Freeport A’Famosa Outlet is no doubt a place for the whole family; they have arranged activities from time to time. From snow ball to clowns and even snake and other animals’ appearance, there are surprises every hour waiting us there.

4)      Take pictures

Unlike JPO and Mistui Outlet Park, Freeport A’Famosa Outlet is built in Netherland heritage design hence it’s one of the best places to take pretty pictures. You could find beautiful windmill, carousel, bridge, fountain, and tower there. Everywhere is the best spot to shot your pretty pictures there. Plus it has a lot of natural sun light, made that pictures perfects.

5)      Blank, nothing! LoL I leave it blank because I want you to tell me after your visit ok. Probably a night stay at A’Famosa resort to relax your mind and continue shopping the next day?!

With 1300 acres of leisure and entertainment facilities, A’Famosa has gives us an unique resort experience. It is easy to access, use the North-South highway and exit Ayer Keroh toll, turn left and follow the instructions. It is near to KL, it took around 1 hour from KLIA, around 1 hour 20 minutes from KL. Enjoy free car parks at Freeport A’Famosa Outlet but I would advise you to go there early as the car park was very full in the noon.
