Last Saturday was a fun filled day for me, as I discovered
the First Chocolate Museum in Malaysia with my bunch of blogger friends.
Cooperate by DR Group Holdings Sdn Bhd (“DR Group”), the
producers of homegrown brands such as Danson, Fidani and Millton, the
prestigious Chocolate Museum is open to the public with a unique three-fold
proposition(3Es) consisting of;
1)
Interactive Education
2)
Chocolate-making Experience
3)
Enjoyable Shopping
The Chocolate Museum is located at Kota Damansara, somewhere
nearby the Segi College. It is very easy to locate, I just followed the directions
from waze and I reached there safely. There is a huge free open air car park
inside the Chocolate Museum compound. I love how easy it is for us to drive and
park there.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the founder of DR Group
before having our breakfast there. Dato is a very friendly and down-to-earth
person, thank you for having us there.
Then we got to learn the origin of chocolates, some chocolate
history, different types of cocoa beans from the theory part of the sharing of
Manager of Chocolate Museum, Mr. Mohd Azuan Arshad.
Do you know that eating chocolates
bring health benefits? If you don’t know, find out more at the Chocolate Museum
yourselves k.
Then we had witnessed the chocolate-making by the chocolate
masters. It was a long process to make a chocolate but it’s all worth it
because the handmade chocolates taste really great yummy! Not only that, the
chocolatey scent in the air smells really sweet and nice too, I like it at
least.
During the visit, we also got to know the Fidani brand,
which is an exclusive handmade chocolates by DR Group. We have tried various Fidani
chocolates, they are all delicious. I want to go back Chocolate Museum for
more!
After watching the experts did their job, we were divided
into groups for some activity.
Could you guess what we did at the Chocolate
Museum with these given tools?
The answer is - build a chocolate dream house! We were given
one hour to build a chocolate dream house and judges will judge it from the
creativity, team work, cleanliness and some other criterias. It sounds
impossible as none of us had chocolate making experience before but we managed
to complete it with great team work, bravo.
It was such a fun time working with
everyone from different publications! Thank you Lan, Emas Putih and the
reporter from Utusan for working with me on that day. Our team had created a
very beautiful Hipster house and we were crowned the 3rd winning
group for that day, yay!
We received our prizes and goodie bags happily after the
announcement, hehehe.
Showing the finish work from other groups.
Grand Prize winner
Could you guess how we ended our Chocolate Museum visiting
that day?
It’s Shopping time! We had fun shopping the quality imported
and local chocolates at the shopping arcade. The price there is much cheaper
than retail shops outside.
Most importantly, the entrance to the Chocolate Museum is
FREE! And it is open to PUBLIC!
Lastly, I want to share great news with all of you. Chocolate
Museum will be having their annual warehouse sales on 29, 30 and 31 Jan 2016.
Its time for us to buy the gifts for our loved ones this CNY and Valentines
this Friday to Sunday!
