If you are following my social media, you should have seen Josh Lee Fragrances in some of my posts previously.
In fact, Josh Lee Fragrances is founded in late 2012 by Josh Lee, a Penang-born Fragrance Designer who graduated with European Fragrance and Cosmetic Master from Top Perfumery Institute, ISIPCA in Versailles, France. He has won numerous awards for his Fragrances that offers a collection of premium niche fragrances based on the heritage, culture and nature of Malaysia.

Josh Lee has launched the third fragrance in his Malaysian Heritage Collection, Nyonya by Josh Lee along with Dr. Lee Su Kim, an award winning author and the Founding President of the Peranakan Baba Nyonya Associaltion of KL and Selangor and Mr. Jean-Pierre Galland, councellor for Co-operation and cultural affairs, Embassy of France in May 2016.
With the tagline of Heritage through Scent, Nyonya by Josh Lee completes Josh Lee’s Malaysia Heritage Collection which consists of two other fragrances (George Town and OUD).
George Town by Josh Lee is inspired by the heritage city of Penang while OUD by Josh Lee captures the heritage-nature of the Malaysian Rainforests with its centuries-old precious trees and Nyonya by Josh Lee epitomises the heritage-culture of the Peranakan/Straits Chinese women.
“Nyonya is a Peranakan, or Straits Chinese, woman of mixed Chinese and Malay/Indonesian heritage. This fresh floral fragrance embodies the graceful femininity of a modern Nyonya. She embraces flowers as part of her Peranakan culture; with rose and jasmine symbolising her eternal beauty, lotus reflecting her purity, champaca expressing her eternal love while peony and orchid portraying her nobility. Nyonya is a fragrance that celebrates the women of today who are modern and yet preserve her culture and traditions”, says fragrance designer, Josh Lee.

Nyonya by Josh Lee Eau de Parfum(EDP) is blended with bergamot, neroli, the Nyonya Flowers (peony, rose, jasmine, lotus, champaca and orchid), cedar, sandalwood and musk.

The vibrant pink wood cap symbolises the colourful and distinctive cultures of the Peranakans. The pastel pink colour fragrance is captured in the art deco square bottle to celebrate a modern Nyonya’s love for her grassroots and culture. The packaging is environmental friendly with recyclable paper and eco-ink printing.
Nyonya by Josh Lee is now available at RM 160 (before GST) for 50ml bottle.

At the event, Josh also relaunched George Town by Josh Lee. This Eau de Toilette (EDT) fragrance is highly acclaimed as the World's First Heritage City Fragrance inspired by the listing of George Town, Penang as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2008.
George Town is a tribute to his hometown, George Town in Penang with the scent of water, warmth and nostalgia. It will evoke the moments of sparkling yet refreshing sea water nuances and sunny warmth of George Town with its heritage landscape.
George Town by Josh Lee fragrance features the four main characters of George Town city: fresh citrusy sea water of Penang island, heavenly gourmet spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamom), romantic floral bouquet (hibiscus and rose) and opulent heritage woody notes (sandalwood).
George Town by Josh Lee retails for RM 130 (before GST) for 50ml.

I love Josh Lee Fragrances as the scent is truly resembles Malaysian Heritage, plus the sleek and classic packaging suits a modern woman like myself. I normally wear Nyonya by Josh Lee EDP in important dates and events, while George Town by Josh Lee EDT on normal days.
