All I Want for New Year is The 10th Generation Honda Civic

As many of you would have know, I am a mother of 2 young girls. Not only that, I am also having a full time job and I am working extra hours to attend events and workshops everyday. With such hectic lifestyle, I need a good and trustable car for my daily life. My ideal car should be joy to drive ,safe, and big enough to accomodate my whole family. And of course, the price should be affordable too. And guess what, I have found it - the 10th Generation Honda Civic which Honda Malaysia has launched back in June 2016.

The 10th Generation Honda Civic

Before jumping into conclusion, I have indeed spent one of the weekends in December 2016 joining a 2D1N road trip to Penang with the new Honda Civic. 

My driving experience? No matter what the road condition and the weather is, rain or shine, the new Honda Civic is performing really well and gave me the trust and faith to get this dream car in the New Year. Yeah, I am setting my goal for the New Year 2017 on these last few days of year 2016. I want to get the brand new Honda Civic! There are more reasons for getting the car, do read on to find it out ok.

1)      Cool & Sporty Designs

First of all, I was attracted by the Cool & Sporty Designs of the 10th Generation Honda Civic. The sleek outlook, the sports rims, and it even comes with bright LED car lights which is first of its kind in C-segment category. 

We tested the lights at a very dark road, it is indeed very bright, forget about dim car bulbs which could be the reason for a collision. 

Besides, there are 5 outstanding colors to choose from, Dark Ruby Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and two brand new colours, Lunar Silver Metallic and White Orchid Pearl. These two new colours on the All-New Civic will eventually be applied to other models under Honda Malaysia’s production.

2)      Spacious

The superior cabin is sufficient for my husband + my 2 girls + and car seats. During our Penang trip, there were 3 girls in the Honda Civic with excessive luggage and backpacks; but we still have a lot of space in the car, even at the back seats. 

The new Honda Civic has plenty of leg rooms for tall people too; it made everyone feel truly comfortable in the car.

While compare the car boot of the same segment cars, Honda Civic is the most spacious one. It can easily fits a few luggages, baby strollers and more.

3)      Cool & Quite Cabin

The All-New Civic offers “Advanced Interface” via its 7” Advanced Display Audio which appeals to the new generation, which looks so cool for young executive like me. 

To achieve cabin quietness and further enhance ride quality, the All-New Civic interior package is fitted with light-weight sound proofing system. This includes underbody covering and high noise isolation door system. Overall, Honda has managed to reduce the Noise, Vibration and Harshness to achieve all road quietness which set the All-New Civic a class above the rest.

4)      Dynamic Performance

I especially love the ‘Brake hold’ function that is features for congested traffic in down town. I no longer need to put my leg on brake pedal during traffic jam or red lights. And when I am on the high way, I could use the auto cruise function for a smooth journey. See how dynamic the new Honda Civic is?

5)      Fun Driving Experience

The new Honda Civic comes with a responsive steering, precise transmissions and engines that packed a lot of punch. The brand new 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged engine which is developed under Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology provides ‘Joy to drive’ with its dynamic performance and excellent fuel economy. In fact, Honda Malaysia is the first Japanese mass market manufacturer to introduce a turbo engine in the C-segment. The All-New Civic 1.5L VTEC Turbocharged variant is equipped with a smart monitoring system, giving peace of mind in maintaining the efficiency of the engine performance. This feature will indicate the timing of oil change and notify customers with an indication lamp on the speedometer on their service status.

The other engine variant is 1.8L i-VTEC. Both engines are mated with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) for a smooth driving experience and fuel efficiency.

Both variants of the All-New Civic are “Energy Efficient Vehicle” certified and Honda is in line with the Government’s direction to offer EEV vehicles to the public.

6)      Safety

The Honda Civic Sedan holds some of the year's highest safety ratings. The top class safety features including 6 Airbags (Dual Front Airbags, Side Curtain Airbags, and Side Airbags) + Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) + Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) + Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) + Brake Assist (BA) + Hill Start Assist (HSA) + Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) + ISOFIX.

7)      Fuel efficient

From Citta Mall -> Tg. Tualang -> Stadium Batu Kawan -> Penang Island -> Botanica Mansion -> G Hotel Kelawai -> Escape Adventureplay -> Tambun -> back to PJ, the journey was more than 500 km travelling but the car only consumes slightly more than 1 fuel tank for the 2D1N trip.

8)      Attractive Price

The New Honda Civic 2016 is available in both 1.8 and turbo versions. The prices of the 3 variants of Honda Civic are:

RM113,800 for 1.8S (On-the-road with insurance)

RM127,800 for 1.5 Turbocharged (On-the-road with insurance)

RM135,800 for 1.5 Turbocharged Premium (On-the-road with insurance)

Furthermore, customers can enjoy 5 years warranty with unlimited mileage with a service interval of 10,000km at 88 Honda dealers nationwide.

It is indeed a great price as we paying the price of C segment compact executive car but we are getting a D-segment spec car.

That’s not all, It is also completely redesigned to be the most convenient and connected Civic ever. Some of these features which are also Civics’ first include Remote Engine Start, Walk Away Auto Lock, Electric Parking Brake and Auto Brake Hold.

With this significant launch, the iconic Civic ushers in a new era.
