All I Want for New Year is The 10th Generation Honda Civic

As many of you would have know, I am a mother of 2 young girls. Not only that, I am also having a full time job and I am working extra hours to attend events and workshops everyday. With such hectic lifestyle, I need a good and trustable car for my daily life. My ideal car should be joy to drive ,safe, and big enough to accomodate my whole family. Before jumping into conclusion, I have indeed spent one of the weekends in December 2016 joining a 2D1N road trip to Penang with the new Honda Civic. 

My driving experience? We tested the lights at a very dark road, it is indeed very bright, forget about dim car bulbs which could be the reason for a collision. 

Besides, there are 5 outstanding colors to choose from, Dark Ruby Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and two brand new colours, Lunar Silver Metallic and White Orchid Pearl. These two new colours on the All-New Civic will eventually be applied to other models under Honda Malaysia’s production.

Korean Hair Spa Treatment @ JeffLee The Hair Company

Have you been to a Korean Hair Spa Treatment before? I had my first experience at JeffLee The Hair Company @ Uptown some time back.

I was greeted by the staff when I walked into JeffLee The Hair Company and offered a cup of beverages from water, tea, to nescafe. The salon was big and bright, and provides all sorts of hair services. I chose to dye my hair, had a simple haircut and before trying out their Signature Korean Hair Spa Treatment.

The stylist, Zyon Teh, is very experience. He had helped me to choose the color that suits me well. While waiting for the hair dye, there were a lot of walk in customers into the salon.

Apparently JeffLee The Hair Company is proud to be the first and only hair salon in Malaysia to have the Korean Hair Spa Treatment. What is so special about Korean Hair Spa Treatment is, the hair treatment service is done while you are lying down. Yes, the hair spa treatment is done on a bed just like how a facial is done.

Calling all oysters and seafood lovers! There’s a new heaven for all of us - Crave Oyster & Seafood House at TREC KL. It’s an oyster bar with high tables and bar seating, plus dining tables and chairs which made it a great place to enjoy the seafood specialties at our leisure.

Shock The World 2016 with Father of G-Shock

We were honoured to be invited to the 3rd Shock The World 2016 event in Malaysia last month. Launched by Casio Malaysia and Marco Corporation, the grand event was held at Metal Bees, a custom created event space located at Sunway Damansara Technology Park.

The main highlights of the evening, was the special appearance of Father and Creator of G-Shock and the unveil of Master of G series, a new range of premium timepieces by G-Shock.

The venue setup was dim and casual style, where the guests were greeted to melodic tunes performed by live jazz quartet.

Mr SJ Ong, Executive Director of Macro Corporation has given his welcome speech, followed by a short presentation by Mr Hiroyuki Sezai, Managing Director of Casion Malaysia Sdn Bhd on the Master of G’s product conceot.

To our surprise, Mr Kikuo Ibe, the Father of G-Shock had given his speech entirely in Bahasa Malasyai. Ever the joker, he had guests in stitches of laughter as he related the history of G-Shock since its inception and the challenges, to further emphasize the G-Shock’s durability and toughness, the ever-popular G-Shock watches were all put through a series of Tough Test.

Melaka, you’ve been good

I am fortunate to be born as Malaysian. I love my country, Malaysia which is well known for its rich cultural heritage, rich history and obviously rich, delectable food. But do you know where all these 3 criteria can be found in one single city in Malaysia? I found it in Melaka.

Melaka is the most interesting city in Malaysia. This small, friendly city with many eye-catching sights and attractions would surely capture your heart and never let it go. First thing first, its name. How many of you out there know the origin of Melaka’s name? (drum roll please), Melaka got its name from a tree. The founder of Melaka, Parameswara was resting under the tree and saw witnessed his dog being pushed by a mouse deer into the river in self-defense. Seeing this whole thing as a propitious omen, he decided at that particular time to build a great empire there. That my friends, is how Melaka was founded and its name was from the Melaka tree where Parameswara was resting under.

Moving on, the society a.k.a. the diverse type of race you can find in Melaka. This state is made up of the normal Malay, Chinese and Indians but here comes the interesting part. Due to the colonization by the Dutch and the Portuguese, you can find a community of Eurasians with Dutch and Portuguese here. Oh, and not forgetting, the Baba Nyonya people. These different cultures has made Melaka one of the most beautiful city with various arts and crafts. 

Now, comes the best part, THE FOOD! If you are looking to try something new that can never be found in other parts of Malaysia, then you must try the Nyonya cuisines here. Here are a few places that I would totally recommend.
