Since the launch in

#IWillBeOkay Fight
Against Depression Awareness Campaign was initiated to educate and create
awareness on mental illness as well as to encourage those who are suffering
from depression to seek the help they need.

“The idea came as I want to spread out the message that everyone
who is battling with depression to be aware that they have the ability to get
better and that they are not alone. Sweaty, mind and physically challenging
event like this helped me in so many ways therefore I want others
to experience it as well. The event targets to gather all walks of life
regardless whether they may or may not suffer from depression. You don’t
need to be depressed to join the event. It is all about spreading the awareness
that one should acknowledge the issue if they have it and seek help before it
is too late”, said Fiona.
#IWillBeOkay Trail Hike was held on Saturday, 11th March 2017 at Taman
Persekutuan Bukit Kiara. Registration
was closed at 36 confirmed participants, with 30 of them showed up at the event
day and changed into #IWillBeOkay Trail Hike microfiber dry fit T-shirt in
orange, while the crews were donning a green color T-shirt. Black Box Events, a sports event management
company was engaged as technical consultant for the trail as well as to
lead the pack through the entire hike. Participants were divided into two
groups – running and hiking. Approximately 4km was covered in 1 hour 40
minutes.
Upon returning to
the meetup point, all participants and crews were treated with healthy breakfast
meal specially ordered from Meraki Kitchen. Each participants then went home
with a goodie bag from PUMA Malaysia and Sunplay.
Thank you Fiona for
the effort in #IWillBeOkay and held the meaningful campaigns for the past one
year. I hope with the love and care, everyone could be happy and stay away from
depression.
