Aik Cheong Coffee - Malaysia Coffee Since 1955

We Malaysian love our coffee as much as nasi lemak, do you agree? Growing up in a traditional Chinese family, my mum has been brewing Aik Cheong kopi-o for all of us since young. We love to drink it by dipping cream crackers into the kopi-o and enjoy the happy afternoon time together.

Originated from the historical city of Malacca, Aik Cheong has been evolving to offers us not just kopi-o but a wide variety of products! From White Coffee, Cappucino, Teh Tarik, Hot Chocolate, instant oatmeal nuts, to the latest it's granola, IT’S Cup series and BLACK series Coffee. That being said, everyone can enjoy their favourite cup of warm beverages with Aik Cheong!

IT’S Cup series

I felt in love with IT’S by Aik Cheong immediately after tried. Packaged in colourful and convenient hand-held cups for ease of transport, it is very convenient for us to grab a quick drink anytime anywhere. As some of you would know, my family had a short vacation just recently. IT’S by Aik Cheong was such a great help during our vacation time. Just open up the cup, pour in the pre mix powder, step 2 and step 3 and hot water then we can enjoy a flavorful cup of drink immediately.

There are 6 flavours in IT’S Cup series as below;

Long Black Extra Shot
Cappucino Choco Topping
Flat White Extra Shot
Chocolate Marshmallow
Teh Tarik Gula Melaka
Matcha Latte Nat De Coco

To enjoy, just pour content 1 into cup with 200ml of 80-90oc hot water and stir. Then, add in step 2 and step 3 as preference.

From Nata de coco, or marshmallow, The step 2 is really a beautiful twist to our normal hot drink. We like all the flavours of IT’S by Aik Cheong. Overall, they are refreshing, rich and fun to drink! Strongly recommended by all of us.

IT’S Granola series

Who doesn't love Granola? We love granola as it is good on it’s own, and we can can also add in yoghurt or fresh milk as preference. Oh, it can also used as a crunchy toppings too!

IT's Granola contains High Fibre and is a Source of Protein. They made from Natural Ingredients with No Artificial Flavour and No added Refined Sugar. They are available in 2 tasty flavours: Berries and Mix Fruits and Nuts.

BLACK series Coffee

Now comes to my personal favourite of all - BLACK series Coffee. BLACK series Coffee is a drip coffee that give pleasant aroma during brewing, and it taste smooth and strong.

There are 5 drip bags in each box. It uses Japanese innovated filter bag and sealed with thick aluminium foil with Nitrogen infused. Each sachet gives you the true satisfaction of gourmet coffee. We like that the nicely designed instructions in the box can be used as a bookmark too.

BLACK series Coffee Drip coffee comes in 4 variants below:

Ethiopia yirgacheeffee (spicy and fragrant)
Colombia medellin (bright and rich)
Guatemala huehuetenango (milk and pleasant)
Nicaragua jinotega (sweet and deep)

To brew, just follow the simple steps below;

Step 1: Begin pouring water slowly toward the center of the grounds. Stop pouring when the scale reaches 20grams. Give the coffee 30 seconds to drip before moving on to the second pour.

Step 2: Starting in the center of the grounds. Pour in a steady spiral toward the center using smaller pulses. Add roughly 40 grams, bring the total to 60 grams. Let it drip for another 30 sec Pour 3: Starting t the outer rim and moving in a steady spiral toward the center of the grounds using medium pulses. This pour adds another 40 grams, bringing the total to 100 grams. Allow 30-45 seconds to elapse. Pour 4: Lastly, using bigger pulses of 50 grams to hit the coffee bed hard. This brings the total up to 150 grams and should take another 30-45 seconds.
