The RM600,000 of Business Zakat was presented on 28 March 2022, along with Zakat charity in the form of RM500 cash and vouchers to 50 selected families who were severely affected by the flood recently.
McDonald’s Malaysia held an event in conjunction with the presentation of Business Zakat at McDonald’s Banting DT outlet on 28 March 2022. It was attended by YBhg. Dato’ Seri Utama Diraja Mufti Selangor, Sahibus Samahah Dato’ Dr. Haji Anhar Bin Haji Opir, whom has witnessed the presentation of the Business Zakat, from Encik Azhar Darbi, Vice President of Human Resources and Chairman of the Internal Halal Committee, McDonald’s Malaysia, to Encik Mohd Sabirin bin Mohd Sarbini, Head of Distribution Division, Zakat Board.
“Giving back to the community is the core value of McDonald’s Malaysia, including through corporate social responsibility and Zakat contribution. Hence, we have contributed a value of RM600,000 to help the community that are in-need.
