Guinness Malaysia has officially launched its first-ever flagship outlet, Arthur’s Storehouse, in Malaysia at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. The Ultimate Tiger Street Food Festival is Back!

After two years, the Tiger Street Food Festival is back on-ground, and this time with maze-like alleyways and curated experiences for fans to enjoy an elevated street food experience. Tiger has gone all out to provide an authentic but innovative experience leading up to the festival beginning with the launch of the Hottest Hunt microsite in September. Fans came together to recommend the hottest street food spots and contributed to create a directory of bold street food dishes to try with approximately 1,000 pins dropped to date.
Some of the local favourites from the directory will be featured at this year’s Tiger Street Food Festival kicking off on Fri, 28th Oct for two weekends – 28th to 30th October and 4th to 6th November, from 4pm to 12am at Factory 19, Seksyen 19 in Petaling Jaya. Lifebuoy's “C Untuk Cuci Tangan: Train the Trainers” Campaign

In line with the goal of Global Handwashing Day (GHD) on 15th October 2022, Lifebuoy, the world’s number one germ protection soap dedicated to promoting healthy hygiene habits, launched a programme “C Untuk Cuci Tangan: Train the Trainers” at The Grounds KL to reinforce good handwashing habits among the school children of Jabatan Kemajuan Masyarakat (KEMAS). The purpose of the “C Untuk Cuci Tangan: Train the Trainers” programme is to not only share the necessary handwashing skills with the teachers of KEMAS but also to enable them to then teach those skills to the students.

The launch of the programme was officiated by Yang Berusaha Tuan Asri Bin Saleh, Director of KEMAS Wilayah Persekutuan, Ms. Lenny Chuah, Personal Care Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand (MYSGTH) Lead & Head of Malaysia, Unilever Malaysia, and Ms. Jessica Barnabas, Personal Care Head of Department, Guardian Malaysia.

Yang Berusaha Tuan Asri Bin Saleh, Director of KEMAS Wilayah Persekutuan shared, “The Ministry of Rural Development through KEMAS always emphasizes the aspect of personal hygiene and safety among the students of KEMAS. KEMAS is proud to collaborate with the private sector such as Lifebuoy on conducting such a handwashing programme for the first time. For instance, teachers who undergo the training offered by Lifebuoy Malaysia will be able to guide school children on the proper ways to wash their hands more efficiently. Indeed, teachers play crucial roles to encourage the good habit of handwashing among children from an early age.

Rohto Eye Care Raises RM135,000 for Myopia Awareness, Sponsor Prescription Glasses for B40 Students

Rohto Eye Care, World No.11 eye care brand has successfully raised RM135,000 for its “Sending Love & Care: Children with Myopia – Joy of Seeing” CSR campaign. This is done through a month-long fundraising initiative in collaboration with Watsons whereby RM1 from the sales proceeds of all Rohto Eye Care products sold in Watsons from 1st to 31st August 2022 was channelled to the campaign fund.

Myopia is an increasingly common condition amongst children. According to global trends, it is estimated that by 2050, half of the world’s population could be affected and this condition is highly prevalent in Asia. Although genetics is a key factor in developing myopia, lifestyle also plays an important factor in the onset of myopia such as usage of digital devices for long hours, reading under dim lighting and the lack of sleep.

In this campaign, Rohto Eye Care joined hands with Kiwanis Malaysia District and Focus Point Vision Care Group Sdn Bhd to reach out to the rural schools in creating awareness of Myopia and also to identify B40 students in need of prescriptive glasses.
According to Lim Mei Yuen, General Manager of Rohto-Mentholatum, the main objective of the Rohto Eye Care ‘Sending Love & Care The Joy of Seeing’ campaign is to help increase awareness of Myopia amongst children and to educate them on ways of taking good care of their eyes.

“Through this meaningful campaign, Rohto Eye Care will donate 200 pairs of prescriptive glasses to the B40 children. We hope to help them to improve their vision, which will in turn enhance their learning capabilities”, she said.
