Lunar Treasures Come To Life For The Mid-Autumn Festival @ Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown

The Mid-Autumn Festival has always ignited a sense of nostalgia and community amongst Malaysians and this year, Lady Yi’s Tea House at Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown is bringing that together in its Lunar Treasures Mooncake Collection. An ode to childhood memories and time-honoured traditions, this year’s celebration features two new additions to their crowd-favourite mooncakes and a festive gift box inspired by the artwork of local artist, Alice Chang in Lady Yi’s Tea House.
This year’s Lunar Treasures celebration is perfectly showcased in the design of the gift box and the new mooncake offerings. An elegant depiction of phoenixes that symbolises rebirth and new beginnings and lanterns that pay homage to childhood memories, the artwork exemplifies Lady Yi’s cherished moments spent celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with her grandmother.
In the spirit of bringing those traditions to the modern age, Four Points Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown has introduced Baked Chocolate and Baked Musang King mooncakes to their current lineup that features Lady Yi’s Signature 11 Treasures Tea mooncake, White Lotus With Single Egg Yolk, Red Bean, and Green Tea mooncakes. The hotel hopes to be able to share the wonder of the Mid-Autumn Festival with more people than ever before through the addition of these two new flavours that are perfectly matched to the Southeast Asian palate.
The Lunar Treasures Mooncake Collection is priced at RM138+ for a selection of four mouth-watering mooncakes or at RM35+ per mooncake. Guests can also visit Lady Yi’s Tea House to experience a curated pairing of premium Chinese teas chosen to bring out tasting notes in the different mooncakes. All the mooncakes in the Lunar Treasures Collection are hand-crafted in a halal kitchen and are certified pork-free.

guardian Donates Body Wash to Underprivileged Children as Part of Its ‘Together, Keeping Kids Clean and Healthy’ Community Service Campaign

guardian Malaysia recently conducted a heartwarming initiative by providing 2,844 bottles of body wash to the children of PPR Kampung Muhibbah at Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. The event, attended by 100 children from the PPR together with their parents, marked a significant step in guardian's commitment to its regional #guardiancares Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign titled “Together, Keeping Kids Clean and Healthy”.

Anna Ng, Marketing Director at guardian Malaysia, expressed her delight in contributing to children's hygiene and well-being under this program. She highlighted the importance of ensuring that every child has access to basic hygiene, emphasizing that it is a fundamental human right.

Ng stated, "Keeping clean and healthy is not a luxury but a basic necessity, especially for children from low-income families. We believe that maintaining personal hygiene not only safeguards physical health but also boosts self-esteem and enhances mental well-being."
In 2023, guardian successfully provided 20 million baths to underprivileged children across Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Cambodia. This equated to over 40,000 bottles of bath care products donated to Malaysian children alone. Building on this achievement, guardian has set a target of doubling its impact in 2024, aiming to provide 40 million baths to those in need in the region.

The donation of 2,844 bottles of body wash to the children of PPR Kampung Muhibbah represents a significant contribution toward this goal, providing 800,000 baths for the recipients. Mr. Abdul Aziz bin Mohidie, the Head of the Rukun Tetangga of PPR Muhibbah 2 said, “This is a good initiative as it helps to lighten the burden of families besides being great for kids to learn how to keep clean and healthy.”
