BoozeiT, Malaysia’s leading liquor retailer nestled within Ben’s Independent Grocer at Publika, proudly reopens its doors after a comprehensive transformation, offering customers an unparalleled shopping experience. Established in 2011, this flagship store serves as both BoozeiT’s headquarters and its very first retail outlet. Over the years, BoozeiT has continually evolved, and with this latest enhancement, it aims to deliver a more refined and immersive shopping journey for all patrons.
In its earlier days, BoozeiT operated within a smaller space, with a more cluttered display, leaving customers to navigate the shelves on their own. Today, BoozeiT has expanded to an impressive 2,800 square feet, thoughtfully arranged with clearly categorized brands and dedicated sections, making it easier than ever for customers to find their desired items.
The store’s design now features a spacious and bright environment, embracing a sleek and modern aesthetic. At its heart is a newly added dining area, where customers can savor fine wines and gourmet dishes with friends, all at more accessible prices.
One of BoozeiT’s standout features is its expansive cold room, showcasing an exquisite collection of rare wines, including the Duclot Bordeaux Collection 2017 (priced at RM100,000), the exclusive limited-edition series from Bond, the Krug Champagne Collection, and a 1967 Macallan valued at RM400,000. Few local liquor retailers can boast such a display of rare and premium offerings.


With a vast selection of over 3,500 SKUs and an inventory valued at over RM4 million, BoozeiT is Malaysia’s largest liquor retailer in terms of stock quantity. Currently, BoozeiT operates 32 branches nationwide, with three located in Johor Bahru and the rest within the Klang Valley. In the coming year, BoozeiT plans to renovate and elevate other branches, with the next upgrade set for its Bangsar Village 1 outlet. This new chapter is set to bring BoozeiT customers a fresh, elevated shopping experience.


Choya Introduces Four Exquisite New Umeshu Varieties

In conjunction with BoozeiT Publika’s grand reopening, Japan’s leading umeshu brand, Choya, hosted a product launch, unveiling four new umeshu varieties now available in Malaysia:

CHOYA Non Sugar Natural Honey

Crafted with natural honey, free from cane sugar, this umeshu exudes a naturally sweet and aromatic profile. Priced at RM142.

CHOYA Non Sugar Natural Shiso
Infused with Shiso leaves and natural honey, this umeshu offers a refreshing and herbal fragrance. Priced at RM132.

CHOYA Sarari (Smooth & Light)
Made with 100% Kishu plums, this umeshu boasts a light and smooth taste with a balanced sweet and sour finish. Priced at RM89.

CHOYA Sarari Yuzu (Smooth & Fruity)

Brewed with whole Yuzu fruit from Shikoku island, this umeshu is rich in fruit aroma and offers a refreshing citrus taste. Priced at RM98.

During the event, Choya delighted guests with tasting sessions of the new products, showcasing the brand’s unique cocktails and desserts. Additionally, Jensen, the Choya importer, guided the media through the cold room display, introducing the limited-edition 18-year-old umeshu, priced at RM13,500, with only two bottles available in Malaysia.

"Moutai Bulao" - A Blessing for Eternal Youth

In line with this relaunch ceremony, Ms. Haze Shi, COO and PA to the Chairman of MTBL, also introduced "Moutai Bulao" to everyone present. Moutai Bulao is a special product in the Moutai series crafted by Guizhou Moutai Distillery Group Health Wine Co., Ltd. It shares the same origin and heritage as Moutai, continuing its legacy.

Moutai Bulao is made from premium sorghum and wheat, brewed using the traditional techniques of Guizhou Moutai. It undergoes a minimum of three years of aging. The product retains the rich aroma and long-lasting aftertaste characteristic of Moutai while its formulation is adjusted to reduce spiciness and enhance sweetness, making it more appealing to overseas consumers.
