The mall’s Centre Court is transformed into an idyllic holiday market, featuring charming stalls styled as traditional European timber-framed buildings.

Wander through the village along pathways that resemble cobblestone streets, lined with Christmas trees adorned with twinkling lights and festive decorations. Here, shoppers will discover a florist, bakery, and toy shop nestled within the village, each offering delightful experiences that bring the Christmas spirit to life.
At the florist, shoppers can participate in a complimentary Christmas Wreath Workshop on Saturdays, where they can craft their own wreaths to take home.

Over at the bakery, the DIY Donut Workshop held on Sundays, invites shoppers to decorate festive nibbles for gifting or enjoying.

The MPO Welcomes Home viola da gamba player Ibrahim Aziz in a Night of Baroque Music

The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) welcomes home Malaysian viola da gamba player Ibrahim Aziz in an evening of Baroque music on Saturday, 30 November 2024 at 8.30 pm at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), KLCC.
A native of Kuala Lumpur and currently based in London, Ibrahim will enthrall audience with his unique artistry on the fascinating six-string instrument through masterpieces such as Telemann’s Overture Suite for Gamba in D and Fiala’s Gamba Concerto in F.
Prior to his debut with the MPO, Ibrahim has performed at the Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room in London, and the National Concert Hall in Ireland. His performances have taken him to the USA, Europe and the Far East, showcasing his virtuosic playing on the viola da gamba. He has performed with different kinds of chamber ensembles; period, modern and contemporary. A prolific recording artist with 20 albums under his belt, his debut album Risonanze was described as ‘a recording to be reckoned with’ by the American Record Guide.

Besides the aforementioned works, the MPO will open and close the concert with a symphony; Bach’s Symphony in D (a modest affair) and Mozart’s Symphony No.39 in E flat (a pinnacle of the repertory). Benjamin Bayl returns to the DFP podium to weave his magic after his collaboration with the MPO in 2019. He has conducted a broad range of repertoire from the great Viennese classics, Baroque and Romantic works, and new commissions, and is often invited to present great oratorios of Bach, Handel and Mozart.

Abbott’s Campaign Empowers Malaysians with Diabetes to Take Control of Their Health

November marks the Diabetes Awareness Month. In conjunction with this, Abbott announced the launch of the Glucerna® #StartsWithYou campaign to encourage Malaysians to take control of their Diabetes condition and live well.

The campaign highlights success stories of Malaysians who took part in a four-week lifestyle intervention program incorporating good nutrition and physical exercise. In promoting these stories and inviting people to share their journey with diabetes management, Abbott aims to empower people with diabetes to live fuller, healthier lives.

According to the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS), there is an estimated 3.6 million Malaysians – or 15.6% of the adult population – living with diabetes, and there are many more who are unaware of their diabetic state. Uncontrolled diabetes can impact overall health. It can cause complications like heart disease, nerve or kidney damage. Small lifestyle modifications can make a big impact on diabetes management and overall health.

At the event, Ainaa Munirah Pang, a 39-year-old chef, shared her journey in achieving her target glucose levels with the help of the Glucerna® Lifestyle Change Program (GLCP). Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at the age of 27, Ainaa faced the challenge of adhering to a healthy and consistent regime, especially being surrounded by sweet temptations at her job.

The four-week lifestyle intervention program helped guide her on a path to better health. She received support from like-minded participants who shared common goals, challenges and resources to help manage their diabetes.
Insights on diabetes management and inspiring success stories were presented at the Glucerna #StartsWithYou campaign.

''Joining the program was life-changing,'' said Ainaa. ''It wasn’t just about controlling my glucose level but also about finding a community of support and making small changes that added up to a big difference.''
